specialty retailer bebe stores, inc. (BEBE) said it promoted Liyuan Woo to the position of Chief Financial Officer, replacing Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Walter Parks, who is leaving the company on May 3. She will also retain the Principal Accounting Officer title.
Woo, currently serving as Principal Accounting Officer and Vice President-Corporate Controller, has been with bebe stores since 2010. Prior to joining bebe, Woo held a Senior Manager position with the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche, LLP in its Mergers and Acquisitions Transaction Services Group.
The company noted that the Chief Operating Officer position would be eliminated and CEO Steve Birkhold would assume the COO responsibilities.
