Gabourey Sidibe, star of "Precious," has signed on to appear in season three of "American Horror Story." Show co-creator Ryan Murphy hit Twitter on Monday to announce the news:
"Thrilled to announce Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of 'American Horror Story: Coven'."
Kathy Bates was also added to the upcoming season. She and Sidibe will join returning stars Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe.
Murphy has been tight with details on the new season, but did give fans a little taste:
"The fun thing is researching what are the really haunted places in America, and we have a couple doozy locales."
Season three is expected to center on witches.
