Adjusted net income for the quarter was $3.4 million or $0.11 per share, same as last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.12 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the first quarter grew 21 percent to $56.2 million from $46.3 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $57.38 million for the quarter.
Looking forward to the second quarter, Sourcefire expects GAAP results in a range of a loss of $0.02 to a profit of $0.01 per share, adjusted earnings of $0.13 to $0.16 per share and revenues of $60.5 million to $63.5 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.19 per share on revenues of $63.34 million for the quarter.
