British Sky Broadcasting Group 9-month Pretax Profit Rises - Quick Facts

British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC (BSY.L, BSYBY.PK) reported that its nine-month pretax profit increased to 966 million pounds from 899 million pounds last year. Profit for the period rose to 736 million pounds or 44.9 pence per share, from 689 million pounds or 39.5 pence per share last year.

Adjusted profit before tax increased to 934 million pounds from 853 million pounds prior year. Adjusted profit per share was 43.3 pence, compared to 37.5 pence prior year.

Revenue increased to 5.38 billion pounds from 5.08 billion pounds last year. Group revenue increased by 6% with good growth in retail, wholesale and Sky Bet revenues more than offsetting slight declines in advertising and installation, hardware and service revenue.
