Australia is on Friday scheduled to release producer price numbers for the first quarter of 2013, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
PPI was up 0.2 percent on quarter and 1.0 percent on year in the previous three months.
Australia also will see the April results for the AiG Performance of Services index; in March, it saw a score of 49.6.
China will release April numbers for its non-manufacturing PMI; in March, it came in at 55.6.
Finally, markets in Japan are closed on Friday in observance of Constitution Memorial Day.
