Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNQ,CNQ.TO) Thursday reported first-quarter net income of C$213 million or C$0.19 per share, down from C$427 million or C$0.39 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to C$401 million or C$0.37 per share from C$300 million or C$0.27 per share last year. On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of C$0.42 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues for the quarter grew to C$3.76 billion from C$3.53 billion last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $3.61 billion for the quarter.
The company declared a dividend of C$0.125 per share, payable on July 1 to shareholders of record June 14.
