Foo Fighters To Give Away Free Tickets For Political Activism

Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen and Kings of Leon are among a group of bands taking part in a new initiative that will allow fans to earns points through political activism to spend on concert tickets.

The project, dubbed the Global Citizen Tickets Initiative, aims to promote social activism by offering tickets for the gigs of participating artists to those who engage in social issues by signing petitions, writing to politicians and raising money for charity.

Through these actions, fans can earn points which can then be used to win free gig tickets. The initiative hopes to encourage thousands of music fans to take action against issues related to global poverty.

Also taking part in the Global Citizen Tickets Initiative are Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Kanye West, Black Sabbath, the Vaccines, Animal Collective, Crystal Castles, Depeche Mode, Fleet Foxes, Kaiser Chiefs, One Direction, Soundgarden, Temper Trap, the Joy Formidable and the War on Drugs.
