Kraft Foods Group (KRFT) reported first quarter EPS of $0.76 after the bell Thursday, down from $0.82 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.64. The company continues to expect full year 2013 earnings of about $2.75 per share. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.78.
Kraft Foods Group gapped open higher Friday, but traded in a range for the bulk of the session. The stock closed up by 2.58 at $53.11. Kraft rose above a month and a half long range and set a new high.
