Thoratec Corp. (THOR) Sank To An 8-Month Low After Q1 Miss

Thoratec Corp. (THOR) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $0.41 after the bell Thursday, down from $0.51 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.46. The company expects to report full year 2013 adjusted EPS of $1.76 to $1.86. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.81.

Thoratec gapped open lower Friday and declined throughout the first half of the morning. The stock ended the day lower by 3.93 at $32.59 on the highest volume of the year. Thoratec sank to an 8-month low.
