Iggy and the Stooges stopped by The Colbert Report studios to play the single "Job" from their latest effort, Ready to Die. The band also did an encore performance of "Burn," available at the Comedy Central website.
In addition to the tracks, Iggy Pop sat down with Steven Colbert for a brief interview. When asked why he rarely wears a shirt, Pop responded "the Pharaoh never wore a shirt."
During the performance of "Job," Iggy gets up-close and personal with the studio audience, inviting several of its members to join along with him singing on the track's chorus.
Ready to Die is the first Stooges album to feature guitarist James Williamson since 1973's Raw Power. The LP hit on April 30.
