Aerosmith Calls Off Concert Due To Bomb Threat

Aerosmith canceled a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4 following reports of a bomb threat in the capital city. Rolling Stone magazine reports that the band made the decision after the government announced the arrest of two militants engaged in a plot to bomb the Myanmar Embassy.

Management for the group made a formal apology via Ismaya Live, the event's promoter. However, they did not mention a rescheduled date.

The show had sold out and promoters were expecting a crowd of 15,000 in attendance for the date on the band's Global Warming trek.

Notwithstanding that cancelation, Steven Tyler and the boys are scheduled for a headlining date at Boston Strong, a benefit for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing attack, set for May 30 at TD Garden.
