Crédit Agricole Group Q1 Pretax Profit Decreases - Quick Facts

Crédit Agricole Group (CRARF.PK,CDA.L, ACA) reported that its first-quarter income before tax decreased to 1.58 billion euros from 2.66 billion euros last year. Net income group share was 1.03 billion euros, compared to 863 million euros last year.

Crédit Agricole Group generated net income group share of 1.29 billion euros in the first quarter of 2013, excluding revaluation of debt issues and the impact from the application of IFRS 13.

Revenues decreased 14.1 percent to 7.63 billion euros from 8.89 billion euros last year. The Group said the decrease in revenues comes partially from the decrease in revenues of business lines under adjustment plan, and mainly from items not related to commercial activity.

Crédit Agricole S.A. reported that its first-quarter pretax income decreased to 576 million euros from 1.70 billion euros prior year. Net income group share for the quarter was 469 million euros compared to 311 million euros last year. Net income group share amounted to 726 million euros before revaluation of debt issues and the impact from the application of IFRS 13. Revenues were 3.85 billion euros, compared to 5.22 billion euros last year.
