Security exchange operator NYSE Euronext, Inc. (NYX) Tuesday reported higher trading volumes for its global derivatives for the month of April, excluding Bclear, compared with the same period last year.
For the period, the company posted NYSE Euronext global derivatives average daily volume or ADV of 6.9 million contracts, excluding Bclear, up 3.2 percent compared with April of last year.
NYSE Euronext European derivatives products ADV for the month was 2.6 million contracts, excluding Bclear, down 5.8 percent compared with the same period last year. Including Bclear, NYSE Liffe's trade administration and clearing service for OTC products, European derivatives ADV decreased 18.2 percent from the year earlier period.
The firm further reported NYSE Euronext U.S. equity options ADV of 4.3 million contracts, up 10.1 percent year-over-year.
