DigitalGlobe, Inc. (DGI) Tuesday reported first-quarter loss of $60.6 million or $0.96 per share, compared to a profit of $3.8 million or $0.08 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.49 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 47 percent to $127.6 million from $87.0 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $136.80 million.

Looking ahead, the company currently projects revenues in a range of $635 million to $660 million, with greater likelihood at the bottom half of the range. Analysts currently expect full-year revenues of $644.94 million.
