European Economics Preview: German Industrial Output Data Due

Industrial production from Germany is the major report due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, Turkey's statistical office is set to publish industrial production data for March. Output increased 1.5 percent month-on-month in February.

At 3.15 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office is slated to release Switzerland's consumer prices for April. Economists forecast prices to ease 0.5 percent annually in April after falling 0.6 percent in March.

Statistics Netherlands is set to publish industrial output figures for March at 3.30 am ET. Output is expected to rise 0.3 percent on a monthly basis in March, following a 0.7 percent increase in February.

In the meantime, Sweden's budget balance data for April is due. The surplus totaled SEK 5.8 billion in March.

At 4.00 am ET, Statistics Norway is scheduled to issue industrial output for March. Production declined 1.9 percent month-on-month in February.

At 6.00 am ET, Germany's industrial production figures are due from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Economists forecast output to ease 0.1 percent month-on-month in March, following a 0.5 percent rise in February.
