correction: corrects headline to say Frontier Airlines' Traffic down in April
Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings (RJET), reported that its traffic in April 2013 decreased 22% from April 2012, on a capacity decrease of 22%.
The airline said its April 2013 consolidated traffic declined 22% to 783.53 million revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 1.00 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's April consolidated capacity was 905.22 million available seat miles or ASMs, down 22% from1.16 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
But, consolidated load factor for the month was 87%, up 1 points from 86% reported in April 2012.
Frontier Airlines served 0.8 million passengers in April, a 21% reduction from the same period last year.
