Coming off of a solid box office run over the winter, Tom Cruise-starring "Jack Reacher" leads the DVD and Blu-ray calendar in an eclectic week for new releases that all take aim at different target demographics. Looking to find a mostly different crowd than "Reacher" will be "Safe Haven," a romantic drama starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough that had a strong run in theaters thanks to Valentine's Day audiences. Other titles hitting the home market this week include horror-thriller "Mama" and the latest seasons of both "Fringe" and "30 Rock."

Though "Jack Reacher" was far from Tom Cruise's biggest blockbuster, it still continued his string of worldwide hits, grossing more than $200 million around the globe to end up as one of the most lucrative releases of December. In a similar vein as "Taken," Cruise plays a lone wolf tough guy who is digging into a mysterious case involving a military sniper gone awry. Without the heavy competition it faced from "Django Unchained," "The Hobbit" and "Lincoln" back in December and January, "Reacher" could have an easier time finding a wide audience in the home market over the next couple of weeks.

Also getting launched this week is date movie "Safe Haven," a PG-13 romantic drama that had no problem finding its target audience around Valentine's Day. With a slender production budget of just $28 million, "Safe Haven" would go on to rack up $71 million in the U.S. despite scathing critical reviews and plenty of genre competition. Julianne Hough plays an enigmatic woman who ends up in a small town in North Carolina, where she has to confront her dark past as her life gets entangled with a local widower (Josh Duhamel).

While "Safe Haven" takes aim at the same crowd that turned emotionally-charged dramas like "Dear John" and "Beaches" into big hits, horror-thriller "Mama" offers a much different experience as it hits DVD and Blu-ray. Starring Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of "Game of Thrones" fame, "Mama" tells the story of a couple that takes on the challenge of raising two mysterious girls, who had previously been living in isolation deep in the woods. With Chastain drumming up plenty of Oscar buzz for "Zero Dark Thirty" around the same time "Mama" hit theaters, the Universal distribution had no problem finding a wide mainstream audience, helping it earn $141 worldwide despite a paltry $15 million production budget.

As horror fans dig into "Mama," movie lovers have a couple other options this week as well. The Blu-ray of "Band of Outsiders" is sure to catch the eye of a few film buffs, as the Jean-Luc Godard surrealist masterpiece gets a Criterion Collection loaded with extras. Noted as one of the iconic movies of the French New Wave, "Band of Outsiders" (also known as "A Band Apart") made a splash with American audiences as well, eventually leading Quentin Tarantino to name his production company after it.

Those not interested in the new feature releases this week also have a couple TV options, including the fifth season of popular Fox show "Fringe." Co-created by J.J. Abrams of "Star Trek" and "Lost" fame, "Fringe" never quite turned into a smash hit but created a strong cult following for all five of its seasons. "Fringe" follows the story of an FBI agent in charge of exploring unexplained phenomena, making it a good fit for sci-fi fans that enjoyed popular series like "The X-Files" and "The Twilight Zone."

Also getting released this week is the seventh and final season of "30 Rock," the popular NBC series starring Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey. Though ratings slowed toward the end of the series, "30 Rock" was one of the most watched comedy shows of the last decade, making Fey a bona fide star in the process and helping her cross over to feature comedies as well.

Next week, sci-fi epic "Cloud Atlas" and "Texas Chainsaw 3D" are among the prominent new releases hitting DVD and Blu-ray, and fans of Showtime's flagship series "Dexter" can also check out the seventh season. The Blu-ray Criterion Collection of the original "3:10 to Yuma" is also slated to hit stores, while Oscar-winner "Philadelphia" will get a new Blu-ray release to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
