Apparel and accessories retailer Buckle Inc.'s (BKE) comparable-store net sales for April grew 6.2 percent, compared with last year, with monthly net sales rising 3.1 percent to $73.8 million, from $71.6 million in the prior-year period.
Comparable-store net sales year-to-date for the thirteen-week period increased 1.2 percent. Thirteen-week net sales grew 2.3 percent to $269.7 million, from $263.8 million last year.
Due to the 53rd week in fiscal 2012, comparable-store net sales for the month and year-to-date periods are compared to the four-week and thirteen-week periods ended May 5, 2012, the company added.
