Gainers:

Apache Corp. (APA) is gaining 1 percent to $78.50. The company's first quarter profit declined from the prior year period and its adjusted earnings per share were below Wall Street view. The company also announced a plan to divest $4 billion in assets by year-end 2013.

Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) is surging 22 percent to $68.43, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (GMCR) is gaining 16 percent to $68.75 and Ctrip.com International Ltd. (CTRP) is rising 17 percent to $27.92 following the release of their quarterly results.

Decliners:

LivePerson Inc. (LPSN) is falling 17 percent to $10.58 and Monster Beverage Corp. (MNST) is declining 12 percent to $50.28 after the release of their quarterly results.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) was halted. The company's first quarter net loss narrowed from the prior year period. Net product revenue for the quarter declined 17.6 percent year-over-year and was below the consensus estimate.
