A number of media reports Thursday morning stated that Microsoft (MSFT) is considering an offer to acquire all of Nook Media's digital assets from Barnes & Noble (BKS).
Barnes & Noble gapped open sharply higher on the reports, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock finished up by 4.31 at $22.08 on strong volume and set a new high for the year.
