Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. (DNKN), the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, Friday said its Chief Executive Officer Nigel Travis will also don the role as the Chairman of the firm, as the current Chairman Jon Luther is retiring on May 15.
Luther joined Dunkin' Brands in January 2003 as Chief Executive Officer and added the Chairmanship role in 2006. Travis was named Dunkin' Brands CEO in January 2009.
In addition, Dunkin' Brands appointed Board Member Raul Alvarez, to the position of Lead Independent Director. Alvarez, former President and COO of McDonald's Corporation, was appointed to the Dunkin' Brands Board of Directors in May 2012.
