SkyWest, Inc., (SKYW) reported Combined April 2013 Traffic for SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines. It reported a 7.5 percent increase in revenue passenger miles or RPMs for April, while available seat miles or ASMs increased 8.0 percent compared to April 2012.
SkyWest said that passenger boardings for April increased 5.8 percent to 5.03 million compared to 4.76 million for the same period last year.
The combined airlines generated 2.6 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.2 billion. Load factor decreased to 80.5 percent compared to 80.9 percent in April 2012.
SkyWest also reported an increase of 5.4 percent in departures to 122,557 for April compared to 116,307 for the same period last year.
