A Cornwall bus depot exploded in flames on Monday, destroying a fleet of 35 buses, some of which are used for school transportation. Speaking with the BBC, Mark Howarth of Western Greyhound, the buses' operator, said the fire was an enormous setback for them:

"A lot of hard work has gone into Western Greyhound and it's awful to see it going up in smoke."

The Cornwall Fire and Rescue service is investigating into the cause of the blaze, but have not said whether foul play is suspected. They did tell the BBC that they are keeping an "open mind" while looking into the matter.

The fire demanded a significant amount of manpower to put out, utilizing more than 60 firefighters from several area units. The emergency workers used water from a resident's swimming pool to help put down the flames, which one local called "terrifying."
