Correction: correcting to read as the distribution is made by Verizon Wireless instead of Verizon Communications
Verizon Wireless, the mobile-phone joint venture of Verizon Communications (VZ) and Vodafone Group plc (VOD,VOD.L), Monday said it will pay its owners a dividend of $7 billion. Basking Ridge, New Jersey-based Verizon Wireless said the payment will made on June 25.
On the basis of ownership, Verizon, which owns 55 percent stake, will get $3.85 billion, while Vodafone, which owns 45 percent interest, will receive $3.15 billion.
