A school district in Zanesville, Ohio was forced into lockdown mode on Monday due to a bomb threat placed at a middle school.

Local television station WCMH reports that authorities in Muskingum County, Ohio are investigating a bomb threat found written on a bathroom wall at Maysville Middle School.

The bomb threat prompted an evacuation of both Maysville Middle School and Maysville High School while authorities investigated the situation.

Maysville School District Superintendent Monte Bainter said that authorities came to the school armed with K-9 units to help aid in the investigation; however, no bomb or any other substantial threat was found.

Students and faculty were evacuated from the school for about an hour while authorities thoroughly searched the premises. While the incident is still being investigated, no arrests have been made.
