Shriram EPC Ltd. said it had secured an order for Rs.125 crore from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB), Chennai, for a comprehensive water supply scheme.
The scope of work includes setting up of a comprehensive water supply scheme to the areas of Karambakkam, Nolambur and Injambakkam within the limits of Chennai within the limits of Chennai as well as providing of a comprehensive sewerage scheme to the area of Kathivakkam.
The period of completion for the works is 30 months.
Commenting on the order, Managing Director and CEO T. Shivaraman said, "Our order backlog position will be further strengthened by these order wins. The Municipal services vertical allows us to address a large and burgeoning opportunity given the significant demand for up-gradation of urban infrastructure across the country."
At the BSE, Shriram EPC shares are currently trading at Rs.60.60, up 4.12 percent from the previous close.
