Air France-KLM April Capacity, Traffic Up - Quick Facts

Franco-Dutch airline Air France-KLM (AFRAF.PK) Tuesday said traffic and capacity grew in April and the firm carried more passengers, but load factor declined.

Traffic, measured in Revenue pax-kilometers or RPK, advanced 2.3 percent to 18.71 billion from 18.29 billion in the prior year.

Capacity, determined by Available seat-kilometers or ASK, was 2.9 percent higher at 22.59 billion compared to 21.96 billion last year.

Passengers carried increased to 6.638 million from 6.515 million in the prior year. However, load factor slid to 82.8 percent from 83.3 percent.

In the cargo business, RTK fell 4.6 percent and ATK declined 5 percent while load factor showed a marginal improvement of 0.3 percentage points.
