Hochschild Mining Says Lowers 2013 Exploration Budget By 29%

Precious metals company Hochschild Mining PLC (HOC.L), in an update on its progress in 2013, said it has maintained its production target at 20.0 million attributable silver equivalent ounces and reduced its exploration budget by 29 percent to $55 million.

While unit cost increase in Argentina is maintained at 10-15 percent for 2013, unit cost increases in Peru are now expected at 10-15 percent versus its previous 15-20 percent increase.

In addition, the group said its sustaining capital expenditure for the main operations has been revised down to approximately $160 million from $180 million.
