Bulgaria's consumer price inflation weakened to the lowest level in ten months in April, data released by the National Statistical Institute showed Tuesday.
The consumer price index rose 2 percent year-on-year in April, weaker than the 2.7 percent gain seen in March. The inflation rate was the lowest since June 2012, when prices logged a 1.6 percent rise.
Month-on-month, the consumer price index decreased 0.4 percent in April, after falling 0.5 percent in the previous month, data showed.
At the same time, the harmonized index of consumer prices, measured under the EU methodology, rose 0.9 percent annually in April, after rising 1.6 percent in March. Sequentially, the HICP dropped 0.4 percent, as they did in the previous month.
