NOOK Media LLC, a subsidiary of Barnes & Noble, Inc. (BKS), a retailer of content, digital media and educational products, Tuesday launched its updated NOOK for iOS app. This makes the most incredible reading experience for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch even better, it said.

New to the NOOK for iOS app, customers can now download and read any of the over 8,000 comics and graphic novels available in the expansive NOOK Store, with full support for the spectacular Zoom View feature.

Zoom View enables readers to automatically focus in on individual panels in graphic novels and comics, allowing them to fully enjoy the stunning artwork and compelling storytelling that brings this genre to life.

To celebrate the arrival of NOOK Comics on the NOOK for iOS app, customers can receive a free DC Comics 2013 Superman Sampler. This includes excerpts from Superman: Last Son of Krypton, Superman: For Tomorrow, Superman: Earth One, and Justice League Volume 1: Origin.

The free Superman sampler will be provided to customers that download the updated iOS app and set up a new NOOK account at nook.com/account, and is available for a limited-time only.
