Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly signed on to appear in a reboot of the classic 1984 film "The Toxic Avenger." Thus far there is no official word on a proposed role for Arnold, but "Hot Tub Time Machine" director Steve Pink will man the helm.

Pink penned the script alongside co-writer Daniel C. Mitchell and will once again follow the story of a puny geek who is transformed into a hulking crime fighter when he is thrown into a vat of toxic waste. Thus far the film is being created with a PG-13 rating in mind, according to Britain's The Guardian.

"The Toxic Crusader" will further extend Arnold's return to the silver screen following his stint as governor of California. He has appeared in Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables" franchise and will next appear in David Ayer's action thriller "Ten."
