Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. (INE.TO) Tuesday posted first-quarter net loss of C$178 thousand or C$0.01 a share, compared with net profit of C$7.8 million or C$0.10 a share last year, when the company recorded higher derivative-related gains.
Operating revenues for the quarter rose to C$35.7 million from C$28 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of C$0.07 a share on revenues of C$39.47 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Production for the quarter rose 21 percent to 386.2 GWh.
