Hennes & Mauritz AB (HNNMY.PK,HMRZF.PK,HEN.L) Wednesday said total sales including VAT in local currencies increased for the month of April as did the sales in comparable units. The firm however noted that sales during the initial weeks in April were negatively affected by the unseasonably cold weather mainly in Europe.
For the period the company said total sales including VAT in local currencies increased 11 percent while comparable sales rose 1 percent.
Total number of stores amounted to 2,881 on April 30 versus 2,549 on April 30, 2012.
