Gainers:

Macy's, Inc. (M) is up more than 2 percent to $48.64. The company's first quarter profit improved from the prior year period and topped Wall Street view. Sales improved 4.0 percent, while comparable sales grew by 3.8 percent. The company reiterated its guidance for earnings per share in fiscal 2013. The company also raised its share repurchase authorization by $1.5 billion.

SunPower Corp. (SPWR) is rising more than 6 percent to $20.32. The company forecast second quarter adjusted results above Wall Street view. The company also guided fiscal year 2013 adjusted results in-line with analysts' expectations.

Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) is gaining 2 percent to $239.30.

Decliners:

Deere & Co. (DE) is down 3 percent to $90.50. The company's second quarter earnings improved from the year-ago quarter and were above Wall Street view. Worldwide net sales and revenues increased 9 percent. The company noted that global financial pressures as well as adverse weather patterns have added a note of caution to its outlook.

Rockwell Medical, Inc. (RMTI) is falling 8 percent to $3.30 based on the news that it has priced a public offering of 11.48 million shares of its common stock at $3.05 per share.
