Chinese Internet and online game services provider NetEase, Inc. (NTES) reported net income for the first quarter of RMB1.1 billion, or US$171.2 million, compared to RMB941.7 million for the year-ago quarter.
Earnings per ADS for the first quarter were US$1.32, compared to US$1.15 in the prior year quarter.
Total revenues for the first quarter rose to RMB2.3 billion, or US$363.6 million, from RMB2.0 billion in the first quarter of last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.20 on revenue of $348.13 million for the first quarter.
First quarter revenues from online games increased to RMB2.0 billion from RMB1.8 billion a year ago.
