Australian Dollar Extends Slide Against Majors

The Australian dollar proceeded with its early downtrend against its key opponents ahead of the European session on Thursday.

The aussie slipped to more than 11-month low of 0.9826 versus the greenback and a new 7-month low of 0.9996 against the loonie. The aussie may seek support around 0.97 against the greenback and 0.99 against the loonie.

The aussie fell to 1.1960 against the kiwi, its lowest since May 7. The aussie touched 1.3083 against the euro, reversing from an early high of 1.2994.

The Australian currency also reached 100.65 against the yen for the first time since May 9.
