Slovakia inflation based on the harmonized index of consumer prices slowed to 1.7 percent in April from 1.9 percent in March, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Thursday.
On a monthly basis, the HICP remained flat, as seen in February and March.
Only cost of transportation declined in April from a year ago, which was down 1.5 percent.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages cost advanced 4 percent and clothing and footwear gained 1.2 percent. The increase in education cost rose to 7 percent from 6.8 percent.
