The sequel to "Garden State" from Zach Braff is off the ground after an impressive Kickstarter campaign that saw fans donate well over the $2 million mark.
Worldwide Entertainment is picking up the rest of the tab on the film, and, according to its CEO, Christopher Woodrow, it was drawn to the film partially because of the proven demand:
"Zach has proven again that he is a creative force in independent film, and we were immediately drawn to his powerful and unique story."
"Wish I Was Here," was written by Braff and his brother Adam, and described by them as a sequel to "Garden State" "in tone." So far, Mandy Patinkin ("The Princess Bride") and Josh Gad ("Book of Mormon") have signed on to star in the film.
