Rush Enterprises Inc. (RUSHA,RUSHB), on Thursday announced that its subsidiaries acquired certain assets of Piedmont International Trucks, a North Carolina-based commercial truck dealership operator for a purchase price of about $3.5 million. The acquisition promises to be accretive to the company's future earnings, said Rush Enterprises.
"Acquiring additional service points in North Carolina demonstrates our commitment to expand service solutions for our customers wherever they operate," stated, W. M. Rush, the Company's Chief Executive Officer.
Further, Rush Enterprises said in a statement that the acquired assets shall operate as part of its Navistar Division, enabling the company to further expand its Rush Truck Leasing capabilities.
