Jack in the Box Inc. (JACK) reported second quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.33 after the close Wednesday, compared to $0.30 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.31. Full year 2013 non-GAAP EPS is expected to be between $1.55 and $1.65, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.61.
Jack in the Box gapped open lower Thursday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished down by 1.36 at $36.97 on above average volume. The stock pulled back from the highs of the year.
