Canada consumer price inflation for April and wholesale sales for March are due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of these reports, the loonie declined against other major currencies.
As of 8:25 am ET, the loonie was quoted at 1.0265 against the greenback, 99.78 against the yen, 1.3209 against the euro and 0.9999 against the aussie.
