Though he has been hard at work on his new album, it appears that Chris Daughtry has caught the acting bug.
Daughtry, who auditioned for a small role in last summer's The Dark Knight Rises, recently tweeted that he has added acting classes to his busy schedule.
"While in LA, every morning before my writing sessions, I've been taking acting classes w/[Marjorie Ballentine]. She is INCREDIBLE & I'm learning so much!"
Ballentine is a Los Angeles-based acting coach with clients that include Gary Oldman, Krysten Ritter, Mario Cantone and others. The American Idol alum appeared on an episode of CSI: NY a few years ago.
Daughtry is currently working on the follow-up to 2011's Break The Spell, which reached number eight on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Gold.
