Michael Maxwell of Palm Bay, Florida was arrested after an attempted home invasion robbery went awry. The residents of the house, reports Florida Today, punched, kicked and tazed the 19-year-old during the burglary.
Maxwell and several other men allegedly raided the home but its residents were able tend him off. He was later treated at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, according to local television station WKMG.
He was later charged with one count of home invasion robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon and four counts of battery, and is now being held on a $51,000 bond at the Brevard County Jail Complex.
Police are still investigating the case and do not know whether the home's residents knew Maxwell or the other men. So far, officials have arrested only one other man, a 17-year-old, of Maxwell's crew.
