Accenture To Buy Acquity Group For About $316 Mln Cash

Accenture plc (ACN) said Friday that it has agreed to buy Acquity Group Ltd. (AQ), a digital marketing and eCommerce company, for about $316 million in cash.

Accenture will pay $13.00 per outstanding American Depositary Share, each of which represents two ordinary shares, in cash for Acquity Group.

Acquity Group provides strategy, digital marketing, and technical services to hundreds of companies to enhance their brand experiences and eCommerce performance. It is the second-largest independent digital marketing company in the United States, had revenues of $141 million in 2012, an increase of 32% over 2011. Once the acquisition is complete, Acquity Group's more than 600 employees are expected to join Accenture Interactive.

Accenture said the acquisition will further strengthen and expand the broad range of digital marketing services that it provides to clients.
