Gunmen killed eight people, including an anti-terrorism police official and his family, in a southern part of Iraqi capital Baghdad on Saturday.
The incident took place in al-Rasheed suburb where gunmen broke into the house of the police official and shot dead him, his wife and their two children, reports said. Attackers also killed another policeman in a nearby checkpoint.
In the southern city of Basra, gunmen shot dead a cleric of a Sunni mosque.
