Around 60 people are believed to have injured on Saturday when a car ran into the annual Appalachian Trail Days parade in Damascus in southwest Virginia. Around 10 people have been taken to hospitals with injuries, although the injuries are not fatal.
The car involved in the incident was part of the parade and the cause of the mishap is being probed. The driver of the car has been taken to a trauma center.
The car was travelling at 20 to 25 miles per hour when it suddenly turned to the people gathered at the end of the parade.
