Denmark Wins Eurovision Song Contest

Denmark's Emmelie de Forest has won this year's Eurovision Song Contest, conducted in Malmo, Sweden, coming ahead of the other 25 participants. While her song Only Teardrops topped the rest, Azerbaijan came second.

De Forest received 281 points and Azerbaijan's Farid Mammadov got 47 points less. Ukraine finished third and Norway came in at the fourth position.

Denmark, the winner, will host the 59th contest next year. The country has won earlier in 1963 and 2000.
