Authorities in Minnesota have arrested two men in connection with a suspected illegal fireworks operation that caused a small explosion on Saturday.
The Pioneer Press reports that police in Wyoming, Minnesota Police responded to a medical call for a man that was suffering from first degree burns on his hands, arms and face.
The authorities were able to determine that the burns were caused by an explosion in the garage. When police investigated the garage, they saw "materials consistent with manufacturing fireworks-type explosive devices."
After obtaining a warrant, police discovered a small illegal manufacturing operation of 2- to 3-inch mortar-style aerial fireworks.
While the investigation is still underway, authorities have arrested two men for manufacturing the illegal fireworks. The injured man was treated at a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
