North Carolina Police Find $1 Million In Cocaine During Routine Traffic Stop

After in Horry County, South Carolina have arrested a man after they found 22 pounds of cocaine hidden inside his vehicle.

MyrtleBeachOnline.com reports that Alejandro Valderrabano Contreras, 31, from Galivants Ferry, was stopped and pulled over for speeding. When authorities discovered he did not have a driver's license, he was arrested.

Upon searching the vehicle, police found a concealed compartment in the center console that had 10 kilograms or 22 pounds of cocaine.

Contreras is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center and is charged with driving without a license, speeding over 15 mph, but less than 25 mph and trafficking in cocaine 400 grams or more, according to jail records.

He is currently being held in an area jail where his bail has not yet been set for the drug charge.
