Bradley Houtman, a Washington County, Oregon man, was arrested after returning to a bank he had robbed earlier in the year. According to local news source KPTV, his black BMW was spotted by Chase bank employees, who recognized the car from an October robbery.
Houtman, say employees, was wearing a mask and gloves and had circled the parking lot a few times before leaving. Police caught him, discovering inside his vehicle an assault rifle. Houtman went into custody without a fight, reports KXL.
"Detectives believe Mr. Houtman is the person responsible for the October and December 2012 bank robberies," Sgt. Bob Ray told the Portland Tribune. "They also believe Mr. Houtman was preparing to commit a third bank robbery.
Houtman is now awaiting arraignment in Washington County Jail where he's being held without bail. He faces federal felony charges.
